Remember the good ol' days, when we were young, slightly careless and would do anything for love (or lust)? We would drive out to the local hot spot with our high school sweetheart, hop in the backset of the car and steam up those windows without a care in the world. Sure, we are older, wiser and more experienced now, but that doesn’t mean we keep our rolls-in-the-hay inside the bedroom and only the bedroom. When the mood strikes, the mood strikes, am I right? Sometimes the graze of his touch or the intensity of deep eye contact starts a little something-something that must be finished— and finished immediately! And so, girlfriends, we pursue our sexual endeavors in the unlikeliest of places and enjoy the ride (pun intended). I wanted to know exactly where these unlikeliest places are, girlfriends, and so I asked — and some, brave girlfriends answered. Here’s what they had to say when asked “Where is the wildest place you have had sex?”

Grave Desires

“A mausoleum in a cemetery after brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I was dating a cute guy, Mort, who was a florist. He had a habit of driving through cemeteries to look at the floral arrangements. As we drove, one arrangement caught his eye, [he stopped the car and we] hopped out. He grabbed my arm. pulled me into his arms and gave me a big hug and kiss. We strode along a shady path and stopped at the entrance of a grey stone building with ornate frieze work. We exchanged looks and without a word, went inside. Within minutes, we were engaged in what was one of the most exciting encounters I'd ever had. [When all was said done], we collapsed on the bench, laughing so loudly, gathering our wits and composing ourselves, looking furtively to the left and right to see if anyone had been near.” — Lisa, 70

“My husband and I had a lovely wine tasting at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma County. We were walking around the grounds to help sober [up] before driving to the airport. We found a small maze and began to walk around until we found a dead end. He looked at me and after that, there was no stopping it. We had sex in the maze while other people were walking around. It was bizarrely romantic, but also, I cannot believe we did that. Super memorable, it felt like a scene in an Ana Huang novel.” — Anna, 33

“My ex-boyfriend (who has now become my current boyfriend after a 20-year break) and I took two snowmobiles on a three-day adventure to Burgdorf Springs in Idaho, which has a huge natural hot spring pool. Of course we had some fun in the pool, but our best lovemaking was on one of the snowmobiles on our last day. We found a wide-open basin where there were few obstacles and I straddled my boyfriend, while he was driving." — Cindy, 72

“My boyfriend and I were looking to buy our first house together and we spent most of our weekends visiting open houses. On this particular day, we were feeling extra frisky, and he gave me that look while we were checking out the furnished basement. He pulled me into the bathroom and began kissing my neck. I tried to resist, but lust won and we treated that basement bathroom like it was our own. The only other person in the house at the time was the real estate agent.
